Well... I would like for spam to be placed as a child board. It would be a good place to move topics that constitute spam into. Keeping some of the less popular boards as child boards takes away from the clutter and eases navigation for the user. We should rename help desk and actually create a childboard named help desk to be used as a catch all for technical questions and anything else. We should avoid using the term misc for anything.

I'm sure we can think of something...

That's more along the lines of what I'm thinking. Than we could just move all of the pointless posts in there if we needed.

Not being funny but i don't see any point in this... If people want to spam then surely they should not be allowed into forums, period. Moving the pointless posts into one forum may seperate them, but when people know that there is a section full of pointless posts, who will see the relevance in actually taking a look in that section? It just takes up space in the database that is not needed. We should surely be trying to force against spam, not forcing to encourage it.

On the subject of spam, just wondering what is to be done about the spam bots... Most recent spam bot thread.

I'm not sure what was going through my head when I made this board. I think maybe it was just to check out its functionality, but I can always delete those posts. You're right, this board will just tempt users to get a higher post count. :-

The thread you were reffering to, for now we'll just delete them as they come. Once we migrate to the new boards I think the problem will be fixed.

*yawn* just woke up from a nap. was WoWing all night long ^_^. Strife, ill delete the spambot posts as they come, they only post once. i've delete 2 before. if you find any, please us the report moderator button.
