I've never heard the rumor of a FPS Starcraft. but in reply to Taiko about the poll of a Halo MMO. There's a few rumors going around that the next big release from the halo series is an MMOHALO.
bungie denies these claims, But then again they do like to keep secrets about the games they are making.

A FPS starcraft eh? Brings me memories of when Westwood made C&C Renegade...That didn't go so well, but meh..Never can tell from first glance(Especially when theres not any info on such)

Would be cool if they actually release this though. I wish they would concentrate more on the Starcraft 2.

Wasn't Westwood's fault. They were bought by EA part way through the development of Renegade. The game was in development since before 1998, and between then and 2002 EA forced many changes that hindered its progress, including their studio location. The only thing that made Renegade as popular as it was, C&C Mode for MP, was added in the last few months before beta release.
As for the Starcraft MMO, that's something I'd really like to see Blizzard try and pull off, so long as they stick to the MMOFPS genre and don't try and add too many RPG elements.
