Darkfall Online is a medival MMOFPS that may or may not be vaporware. Was considered vaporware for a while, but there is a fair amount of new information recently made public.

It uses the Mount & Blade combat system which has FPS for ranged combat and either FPS or 3rd person fighter for melee. I have played M&B and it is a very nice combat system, especially for an MMO.

I really want to try this game out. I'm so untrusting of companies that claim to be FPS but the actual FPS quality is crap. I shall investigate further! 8)

Its the only game i know for now that i think i can pay a monthly fee for, even if i would not prefer to and that it can be requested to pay monthly for many reasons, server maintenance, devs work of updates and other things i don't have in mind, or don't know.
