I've been thinking about changing the directory into a list, much similar to what you would see at mmorpg.com or your standard mmo site. Problem with this is that we can only have the directory, OR the list. Not both.

I like the directory because it has thumbnails that depict the game. People like pictures. If it becomes a list than we lose our originality... and our pictures.

The reason I would want a list though is that the pictures take up space and I can't fit them all on the same page. So I would have the first page shown display only 12 -15 games or so, listed in order by the most recently added, alphabetically, or by the most popular.

I'm giving it all some thought.

I recommend a list a lot cuz a lot of people judge a game from its pictures first ... so it'd be a 10-15 games list per page Most popular ordered .

I've managed to be able to get the Game List to become a list, and still maintain or thumbnail directory. I will simply place the option for list view on the top of the game list.

With that said, I'm looking at different ways on how I will organize the list's "arrange by" options. For instance, arrange by status (beta, released), subscription (pay 2 play, free 2 play) and things like that. Things I won'te be able to do to my lack of PHP knowledge is arrange by hits, views, and ratings.

I'm open to any ideas you all have for what the list should look like.

we really don't need the hits or views thing , when a fellow come to gamelist he won't look for the number of hits , actually he'll search for one of his needs and the (( P2P-F2P ..... ETC )) fills the need .

I Agree with this statement.

But I personally think that people do look at hit count.. Kinda like when people are gathered in a circle... Well you wanna see what there gathering for right? Same goes with the hit count.

Got it. So I'll make the list view default to appear by game status (beta/released) and an optional button that will rearrange by subscription methods (free/micro/monthly). The default page however, will still stay as the director. I'm contemplating moving the short descriptions on these for cosmetic purposes.
