I came up with a new Idea
Instead of just planetary fights, There should be space battles as well. Player-Controlled Terran Battlecruisers, Wraiths, Valkries and Transports that can take troops to the ground.
Zergs get Player-Controlled Overlords, Scourges, Mutalisks and Guardians. Overlords being the transports but unlike other transports, the Overlord can use its claws to attack ships that are close to it.
Protoss can get Carriers, scouts and all that. (Don't blame me if I dont know all protoss ships, Its been a long while and the Terran/zerg ships were easier to remember)
They can get the vehicles from any of there controlled planets, and their main planets.
Protoss have Aiur, Terran have Tarsonis, and Zergs have Char. But to make this unlike a Planetside clone, your main planet can be attacked if one of the planets that is linked to it is controlled by an enemy faction.
Example: A planet has fallen to the zerg forces, unfortunately, that planet linked to Tarsonis and they immediately attack it to stop the Terrans once and for all.
I came up with an idea to stop that from knocking out the Faction from the server until reset. If a ship (battlecruiser, transport, etc) survives the attack, and leaves the system and into another system, they can activate something I like to call the 'beacon' which gives off three different things depending on the situation.
1: If only a fighter got away (wraith, valkrie, etc) then a mobile station will be constructed above the planet, acting as a stationary spawn point.
2: If a battlecruiser got away, the beacon activates the 'thawing process' inside the ship and soldiers respawn inside the ship and can use the transports to attack the planet
3: If only a transport survives, they can land on the planet and activate the beacon and becomes a spawn point for soldiers to arrive on it and get a base captured secretly, since the transport can take off if it feels threatened.
