Seems most of the information on the status of FoM here is through articles so I decided to start this thread.

What is your take on FoM Rebirth? Sounds like some significant changes are being made that could either turn the game around, or make it lose its current fanbase.

I've seen the revamps pass and fail with many games (SWG would be a prime example of failure for me)... One thing is for sure though. When you revamp a game it provides an opportunity to receive publicity. An angle that can't be used for games that have been sitting stagnant in their current release. Hopefully this will be taken advantage of, I would like to see FoM succeed... not to many indies in this genre have the originality that FoM does.

as you said , SWG and The Matrix Online are examples for failure ! but FoM is less likely to fail after re-birth ... actually it's a good community but with less publication . it might make it , but it might not also ... indie development is a high risk to take at all .

Well, I'm sure it will do better than when it had a publisher. The publisher made all kinds of stupid decisions, and basically destroyed the game. lol, Bloj0m.
