Just warning you all. Nobody go to Firestone! I tried to get a water pump replaced and the estimate came out to 800$. The pump was 120$ compared to only 40$ at Auto Zone. I price checked all the other unnecessary additions on the check and noticed EVERYTHING cost about 3x the amount as a normal parts store. That and they charge 90$ an hour for labor when the dealership charges 65$.

They showed me that check and I was like "Deuces!" Try and sucker someone else into your scam.

Always fix your own car or find a good loyal friend to fix it.

Here's a example, I go to get my cars oil change and I just replaced my filter that day. So they sit there and try to convents me they it's dirty and needs to be replaced.
I also had a friend they work at one of them places. And he told me that the first day he was there the boss came up to him and told him in basic terms that he was to lie to the customer and try to make him dish out more money then what was needed.

Yeah they are not any cheaper than a dealership anymore so if your going to pay that kind of price then have a dealer do it. Otherwise, stick to a reputable mom and pop type of place.

Heh, the same thing happened when I took my truck there to get an estimate on damage that Wallmart did to it(Bloody ***tards really messed it up)...Needless to say, I feel much safer with my vehicles by sending them to the local military shop. Gotta love military benefits.

I tried taking mine to the local military guy, he (there was only one mechanic) was booked for a solid 2 weeks.

on that subject, I went to get an oil change at walmart and they said they wouldn't do it because quote "the engine was too loud". Now that's rich. I opened the hood and ran the engine... yup, sounded like an engine to me. I just rented a lift and did it myself.

..They really said that? Now thats worth some good laughs. I feel bad for one of my friends though...He took his truck there for an oil change, and yeah..They cleaned out the engine of the dirty old oil...But didnt put any new oil in! He was half a mile down the road when his engine nearly 'sploded.
