I heard that PS might be coming out with reserves again but with a Higher Battle Rank and such and it would be forever. I'll try and get some info. Btw im new to the forums but im a big fan of the MMOFPS genre, boo FPS (besides Halo 3,BF Series,and a few other execptions) the rest is pretty boring and no challenge. Anyway yeah would anyone here plaY? I think SOE is doing this because of low pop. I would do this also.

I'd recommend SOE to concentrate on her new title the Agency , cuz so many of us have been waiting for a game like this for ages ! PS is over as I think , it's like our old days not any much more !

How about either lowering PlanetSide's subscription fee to $5 or so a month, or expanding the advertising in a non-disruptive way (not sure how to do that) to pay for all the reserves? Or making it a free game, with ads, which would bring back the most players possible I think.

Reserves forever? When SOE say there will be no Planetside 2? I doubt...
But why they give allLiveFree keys to Chinese players than... I have never understanded SOE business strategy...

Billboards for adverts are present in Sanctuary for a while but as far as i know they were never used...

What about to pay for maximum battlerank you can reach in billed month? BR 10 free, BR 15 5$, BR 20 10$, BR 25 15$ ... and allow more variants of payments.

quite a bit late on the reply (i pride myself in my forum necromancy skills). I just rejoined after a long break in the game. If you play on Emerald or soon to be Gemini, hit me up in game and we'll squad up. I can honestly state that Im not a HUGE FPS fan, but I really love the MMO FPS genre/idea. Ill be curious to see a few of the upcoming ones, but fear nothing will compare to planetside.

At least SOE managed to push out one very descent game. Wish i could say i enjoyed their others like i do planetside.

As for Reserves, Ive recently been trying to find out any info regarding it. I keep reading posts and news that they are planning too (most news articles concerning it were from November/December 2007 though). and havent found anything solid at all regarding it yet. Would do wonders to drive up their numbers. My real hope is that they do a regressed pay per month for the game. Like 5$ reserves idea. Would keep hackers etc off the game, but likely still draw a strong player base.

Guess we'll see though.
