"Hi There" to all you soon-to-be Planetside players!
I thought I'd stop and say that we look forward to having you come try Planetside. There really is no other game like Planetside. You get the action of a FPS, the tactics and strategy of an RTS and the community of an MMO. While we all appreciate the new games that come out, none of them offer all that Planetside does.
I'd like to encourage you to join a good outfit (clan) when you start playing Planetside. It can be quite daunting when you first log on, and having a good group to answer your questions will make a big difference. In addition, Planetside is a team game. To experience the game fully you want to work with others. You can join a squad (10 players) that is part of a platoon (3 squads) and work cooperatively to accomplish your objectives. Add some strong organization and leadership to that mix and you've got one of the most unique experiences ever in gaming.
Our outfit, the Azure Twilight (server: Emerald; empire: Vanu Sovereignty) has been playing a tactical teamwork focused game for nearly five years.
